I am offering $50 reward for the first DOCUMENTED PROOF of the maiden name of Nancy, estranged wife of Daniel Reynolds. He was b. 1774 in NC. Daniel and Nancy are both documented to have been in Lee Co VA in 1830 and 1840 census records. Daniel paid taxes in Lee Co, VA in 1809 and 1810.
There are many MANY researchers who believe this is the same Daniel & Nancy Reynolds who are documented to have lived in Knox and Whitley Counties in Kentucky. While it appears to be true, I find it a bit confusing. I realize it is not IMPOSSIBLE that Daniel could maintaniin residences in two different locations, it would seem a bit cumberson. (to me). I am not convinced.
This reward will only be awarded for proof of the Maiden Name of the Nancy that appeared in the 1830 Lee Co, VA census. I have a lead I believe to be 75% true for the maiden naame of Nancy Ann that appeared as wife of Daniel in Knox & Whitley Counties in Kentuciy. If you tie them together, that would be great, but I would need proof.

- My interest in Family History began genealogy, literally, at my grandmother's knee at the early age of 7 (I'm 71 now, so I've been at it a LONG time). I lived with my grandparents at that time, and almost every evening i would sit on the floor next to her as she would reminice about her sisters and the family she had left behind in Virginia, Kentucky, and Missouri. My grandparents each came from very large families. They had 12 children of their own and almost all married spouses that came from very large families, so it was a terrific learning exerience just getting all of that straight. If you count those younger years, it would count as over 50-60 years experience in this hobby, turned obsession, turned occupation. I LOVE IT.
